Aquarium, signed as Acuario Baños Turcos, is a men-only steam bath on Calle 69, south of the old centre, and La Plata's only gay sauna. It's an old-school baños turcos rather than a modern gay spa: steam rooms, showers, rest areas and massages, with a section at the back that works as the gay area. Reviews through 2025 complained about cracked walls, cold showers and worn beds; reviews from mid-2026 say there's a new staff member, repairs are under way, and entry was about ARS 14,000 in June 2026. Google gives it 4.1 from about 100 reviews. It opens in the afternoon only, roughly 15:00 to 21:00 and not every day, so message or call (+54 221 614-0438) before going.

Excellent place. I've been going for years, and it gets nicer every time. There's a new employee now, and they've changed a lot of things. And they keep improving. I highly recommend it. For 14,000 pesos, you'll have an amazing afternoon.
