Auberge du Vin

The mountains are completely invisible from anywhere because the hotel is built below ground level. The pool is tiny and heated even when it's 30°C (86°F). To get a nice view and enjoy the surroundings, you have to leave the hotel and go for a walk, because you don't get (like in most accommodations here) any beautiful views, greenery, trees, grass, or ANYTHING that connects you with nature. ALL the facilities face the hotel's "heart," which is utterly depressing. I don't recommend having lunch or dinner there, or even staying in the terrible beds they have. They also don't have a workspace where you can sit down after breakfast and do something on your computer. Even though the staff (the kitchen staff) are helpful, it's not enough because the hotel is completely uncomfortable. The "gym" is a joke. Honestly, a total disappointment.

The hotel is very nice, service is great. Restaurant prices are ridiculously high for the food quality. I mean RIDICULOUSLY high.

It was a rather disappointing experience. First of all, the hotel is quite poorly maintained (for example, the cold water tap wasn't working in one of the bathroom sinks). It urgently needs a renovation of its furniture and equipment, and better design principles for the spaces (for example, the gym has VERY poor equipment, the TVs aren't smart, the decor lacks character, and the materials are of low to medium quality). My wife and I stayed between December 24th and 26th in a "Grand View" room, the most expensive option, and we were expecting an open mountain view. But the view is nonexistent, because these rooms are located in a low part of the property, and all you can see is land and vineyards (if you look up). I asked the people at the front desk, but they weren't able to offer me a room change, and they also denied the obvious (that the view is anything but "grand" and you can't see the mountains from the room). I specifically and respectfully asked if we could see the upstairs rooms, which, despite being of a lower category/value, do have a mountain view, but they refused, even though the hotel had low occupancy and there were clearly empty rooms. They were cold, unfriendly, and highly unprofessional. Dinner and breakfast were mediocre at best; they simply don't live up to the standards of a place like Tupungato, renowned for its excellent cuisine. Finally, at check-out, the treatment was downright inconsiderate: the person who checked us in was unable to offer any assistance, even though my wife had an obvious knee injury that made walking difficult, and we had to load the car with four suitcases. They weren't even able to hold the door for us or offer to send someone to help. I requested an invoice, which I then had to request three times via WhatsApp and email, before someone finally deigned to send it to me. It's a shame because the place has potential and the surroundings are wonderful, but they need to invest in a renovation and, above all, in the overall level of service, and the front-desk staff in particular.

This hotel was a mixed bag. The first room we were given stunk of something really awful. The second room was much better. The staff was also a mixed experience. One young woman was excellent, she was a waitress and bartender. The front desk staff was professional and friendly. Mainly the rest of staff was not up to snuff for an Autograph property. The road to the hotel was average for Argentina, but would be difficult for city dwellers. Basically a dirt road with large dips and rocks. It rained heavily our second night and the bathoom was very wet. Rain came thru the walls and soaked the floor. We mentioned this to the desk and they did not even react. It must be normal. I don't think I can recommend this hotel.

The breaded beef cutlet stands out for its expertly executed double cooking technique: 1. Pre-fried to seal and create a uniform and stable crust. 2. Finished in the oven, allowing for even browning without excess oil and a controlled internal temperature. The result is a crispy cutlet with a firm texture and a remarkably juicy, pink interior—a rare and beautifully achieved combination for this type of dish. The breading layer maintains its cohesion, doesn't peel off, and provides a balanced flavor with notes of spices and seeds. The creamy mashed potato accompaniment is perfectly emulsified and serves as a neutral base that highlights the protein. Auberge du Vin may seem like an isolated destination, but from a culinary perspective, this dish fully justifies the visit. Impeccable technique, consistent execution, and outstanding quality.

This is anything but a 5 star hotel. It is very outdated, stuffy, no facilities other than a dirty pool under maintenance, the restaurant serves less than mediocre food, breakfast is awfully bad, no variety, coffee is bad. The staff are mostly friendly, but not trained properly (dirty fingernails touching the straw when serving a mate), this is the ultimate decay of once a decent place. Extremely overpriced. No go, there are way better options in this price range in Uco valley.

Beautiful getaway....totally remote. Fantastic resturant and friendly staff...would highly recomend to recharge your batteries

It's a three-star hotel, open three days a week. Even less so from Monday to Thursday.

The stay was truly wonderful. I highly recommend the service provided by Daniel, one of the waiters. The only negative aspect was the poor and inconvenient service provided by Micaela, who was very unhelpful. Perhaps because we didn't access the travel service offered by a relative of hers.

A five-star hotel, no question. Excellent service, breakfast, and facilities. Secluded.

During my stay at Auberge du Vin in Tupungato, I had a personal accident in which I injured myself on a window. What worried me most was the complete lack of first aid provided by the hotel: they didn't even give me gauze or anything to cover the wound. Luckily, we had a small first-aid kit with some basic supplies that we were able to use. We requested an ambulance, but the hotel didn't have a private service, and the local ambulance couldn't come. My wound needed stitches, but because I didn't receive timely attention, when I finally went to a clinic (the next day, which I went to on my own), it was too late for sutures, so I had to follow a treatment with creams and antibiotics. After the accident, the hotel asked for my contact information to follow up, but they never did. They also promised to cover the medical expenses, and I submitted the corresponding invoice, but more than three weeks have passed without the reimbursement being processed. I only received a transfer for a much smaller amount, which corresponds to a pharmacy discount, not the actual total expenses. (Another mistake on the part of the establishment.) This isn't just a financial issue, but also a matter of customer service and responsibility. I hope they improve their protocols so this doesn't happen again. Personally, I wouldn't return to this place due to their lack of customer service.
