À propos de ce lieu Parque Municipal (Cruising Area)

Parque Municipal Américo Renné Giannetti in the centre of Belo Horizonte has long been listed in Brazilian guides as the city's downtown cruising area. It appears here for that history, not as a recommendation. Same-sex marriage has been legal in Brazil since 2013, but ato obsceno in a public place is a crime (Art. 233 CP) and violent crime is the main danger in city parks at night. GayOut does not publish meeting points, times or directions for outdoor spots. The safer ways to meet men in Belo Horizonte are the bars, saunas and cruising clubs listed on this page, and the apps. The real danger here is crime: robberies and assaults at known spots are documented, so never go alone, carry no valuables and leave before full dark.

The Mangabeiras Park was one of the best experiences in Belo Horizonte! The place is huge, very beautiful and full of nature, with several areas to explore and an amazing view of the city. The park is very well cared for, clean and organized. You can walk a lot, take beautiful photos and simply enjoy the environment. The Mirante da Mata is one of the coolest places there, with a wonderful view, but attention: it closes at 4:00. A very important tip is to arrive early! The park is large and has a lot to see, so arriving earlier you can enjoy everything calmly, know the main points and do not risk losing some place. It is worth visiting, especially for those who like nature, beautiful landscapes and having a different experience in BH. It was a walk that I highly recommend!

Very beautiful and very large park, with various features of local fauna and flora. An excellent place for hiking and to enjoy leisure moments such as picnics.

Not a good place for walks. The trails we visit are, in fact, roads with irregular stone pedestrian, like the streets of the historic center of some cities of Minas Gerais. They are uncomfortable for the feet in addition to having many heavy rises and descents. There is no pedestrian sidewalk to its shores. And without walking through the streets, using the Inland Transport Service to get to some attractions, you are missed the opportunity to dive into the wonderful feeling of crossing the lush forest. I met some of these attractions such as the large space for events, beautiful view (but with small area), small waterfall, large skate track and a beautiful garden designed by Roberto Burle Marx. There are stalls and picnic banks and some food kiosks. The structure of feeding and bathrooms needs many improvements.

It is a must-see place for those who visit Belo Horizonte or even for those who live, which is my case. Exuberant nature is part of the various trails, in addition to the 59 fountains of the Córrego da Serra. This park is easy to access for those starting from the centre of Belo Horizonte, has free entrance and many attractions such as: hiking trails with pedestrian, skate slopes, numerous places for picnics, trail in the middle of the Atlantic forest (medium level), public bathrooms, drunkards, internal bus that circulates from hour to hour and travels through the main points. Spectacular view with views of the city. Reserve at least 3 hours to enjoy some of the attractions.

We did a photo roulette with friends, on Sunday 16.03.25, on the trail and lake of dreams, reopened on 12.11.24, after closing for 8 years. The trail, which was fully recovered by PBH, through the Foundation of Municipal Parks and Zoobotanics, is almost 5 kilometers of trail, 59 natural springs, in addition to the lake of dreams, which is not allowed to swim because it is formed from clean water from the springs. This walk is stunning. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday: 08:00/17:00.

Incredible place, it is possible to see all of Belo Horizonte on the viewpoint, do not forget the repellent as soon as the sun sets is very necessary.

Maybe because the park is municipal, lack of maintenance and care. Maybe it's a little better we fds, but during the week looks like a ghost and old place. Another detail: If you have a small child in a cart, he doesn't walk in the middle of the hollowed paralelepiped. I do not recommend
