Concepción Pride (Marcha del Orgullo LGBTIQ+)

Concepción's Marcha del Orgullo LGBTIQ+ is the city's annual Pride march, held in late June or early July around the anniversary of the 2 July 1999 decriminalisation of homosexuality in Chile. Organised by Movilh Biobío and the Mesa Diversa del Gran Concepción together with the Municipality's Oficina de la Diversidad, it winds through the city centre from Plaza Perú / the Tribunales de Justicia, followed by a cultural show and a Pride fair (feria del orgullo). It is the largest LGBTIQ+ gathering in the Biobío region.
