Miguel was our butler and he was awesome. He was very attentive and took care of everything we asked of him, he checked on us every morning and let us know what was going on inside the. Resort and made sure we did not need anything. This is our second time here and we enjoyed it.Just as much as we did.The first time. I feel the food was better this time than last time.We were here. It is a beautiful place to come. And stay, and it is a very reasonable price, come and check it out for yourself!! We were very glad we got my Meguel. As our butler, as I said before, he did a fantastic job and comes highly recommended. This is our second time at this resort.

I recently stayed at Dreams Macao Beach Resort in Punta Cana for a friend's wedding, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing all-inclusive resort experiences I've had. The trip started with transportation issues. We were told transportation from the airport had been pre-arranged, but upon arrival we were informed we'd have to wait over two hours in the heat for additional hotel guests before the shuttle would leave. Since I was traveling with my wife and 8-year-old daughter, I chose to pay for a taxi instead. When we arrived at the resort around 12:30 PM, we understood that check-in was at 3PM. However, our room wasn't ready until 4:30 PM. The room we initially received was a swim-up room that I specifically paid extra for, but it directly faced an active construction site. Workers were visible from the patio, and construction noise was unavoidable. After expressing my concerns, management eventually moved us to another room, which was appreciated, although the process took another hour and a half. The most troubling experience happened on our first day at the resort's taco stand near the water park. I placed an order for my daughter and myself and waited while numerous guests who ordered after me received their food. After checking twice with staff, my order still never arrived. When I politely questioned why everyone else was being served while we were continuously overlooked, the employee became hostile and began cursing at me in Spanish. Unfortunately for him, I speak Spanish. The interaction escalated before I chose to walk away for the sake of my daughter. Throughout the remainder of the trip, I consistently felt ignored by certain staff members. Whether intentional or not, the level of service I received was noticeably different from what I observed others receiving. One server stood out as an exception—she was attentive, professional, and kind throughout our stay, and I made sure to tip her accordingly. The food quality was below expectations for a resort at this price point. Many members of our wedding group shared similar complaints regarding the food and beverage quality. The drinks tasted like they were made with the lowest-tier alcohol available, and most meals were forgettable at best. The highlight of the trip was celebrating and supporting our friends on their wedding day. The resort itself is visually okay, and seeing our friends get married made the trip worthwhile. Unfortunately, the service, food quality, and overall guest experience fell far below what I expected from a Dreams property. I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts over the years, and this was by far my least enjoyable experience. I cannot recommend this resort based on the service and hospitality I received.

I've only had it for two days and so far I'd rate it as super good in every way.

Wonderful experience. Preferred club was worth it. Staff actually checked and ensured only preferred members were in designated locations. Lounge chairs were always available on the preferred club family pool side. Macao Beach was beautiful. The shore sloped gently into the ocean. No seaweed and no jagged rocks on shore, just smooth sand (best part of the hotel). Service was average. Shoutout to Eduardo Minivar for making our stay much more memorable. He was kind, attentive and always tended to our needs. Thank you so much buddy. Food was good. Made fresh daily. No issues with any gastrointestinal symptoms. Rooms were clean and modern.
