CHECCOS (Comité Humanitario de Esfuerzo Compartido Contra el SIDA) is one of Guadalajara's oldest HIV and sexual-health organizations, founded in the late 1980s at the start of the AIDS epidemic. It works with men who have sex with men, trans people, sex workers and people living with HIV, offering prevention information, testing referrals, counseling and community support. For LGBT+ travelers it is a trusted local resource for sexual-health services and harm-reduction information.
