service wasn’t the best, front desk provided wrong information and the bar on the side won’t let you walk through to get to your room. Room was so cold and there wasn’t a thermostat anywhere

Great LgbtQ friendly spot in a great little city with year round fun and entertainment

Oof. Honestly, sometimes you get what you pay for, and there's a reason this place is the most affordable in town. The rooms were dingy, the lamps didn't work, the hallways and elevator stank of cigarettes and body odor, and if you don't time it right then their tiny parking lot will be full (because it's just a random free lot around the corner so surfers park here too), you'll have to pay every few hours for street parking.

This is a gay hotel & bar and Nightclub with a wonderful pool, that is straight friendly. The location is excellent and is reasonably priced for the area. As gay people we love coming here for all the events, Tea Dance, pool and nightclub events. The rooms facing the pool can be a little loud during the weekends and the breakfast is good but basic. If you don't like gay people or especially gay men, then don't come and complain. But please remember Asbury is a gay town with a large gay population.

Amazing service, clean big room, view from balcony was spectacular, and couybeat the location. Right across the street from the boardwalk and next door to The Stone Pony. Definitely would stay again!

The Empress is the best location in AP beach. I love the nightclub and the ocean front balcony rooms.

The Empress is an amazing place! It truly has a vibe and character unlike anywhere else. The manager Max is one of the best people I have ever met!! He was extremely accommodating and exceeded ANY and ALL expectation we had for this stay. Our vacation would not have been as amazing without Max, we are so grateful to him! While Max was amazing, all the staff were phenomenal and treated us lovely. Our room was clean, the view was amazing. We woke up and watched dolphins jump out of the water while the sun was rising from our balcony. If you have the opportunity to stay at the Empress please do! AND if you have the absolute pleasure of meeting Max give him a nice smile! I would stay here EVERY time I’m in the area and we will be back !! I posted views from our balcony

Great location for an even better price. Just across the street from the boardwalk and the rooms were very clean.

Everything was good room did not have a mini fridge I requested one and one was brought to me everyone was very nice will be going back in September
