Austin Pride est la célébration LGBTQ+ annuelle de la communauté d'Austin, organisée chaque mois d'août avec un défilé sur Congress Avenue — l'un des décors les plus symboliquement marquants pour une pride dans une ville américaine, vu le contexte politique texan en matière de droits LGBTQ+. L'événement réunit environ 40 000 participants sur le corridor de Congress Avenue et alentour pour le défilé, suivi d'un festival à scènes multiples, présence associative, stands de restauration et toute la palette d'activités associées à une grande pride. Août à Austin est brûlant — les températures peuvent dépasser 38 °C — mais l'événement draine des participants engagés qui savent que la visibilité au Texas est autant un acte politique qu'une célébration. Austin Pride est porté par l'association à but non lucratif Austin Pride, qui produit l'événement depuis 1997 et coordonne la programmation du mois de pride en partenariat avec les bars, organisations et lieux culturels d'Austin.
