South Street Diner

the atmosphere is amazing and they have touch tunes! our server was a younger guy who was super personable and my group and i genuinely had a good time talking to him. he has excellent customer service and a great personality! our food was delicious and fairly priced.

Wery friendly place and stuff. Prices are realy good.

Everything was ok, service was great! I think our expectations might have been too high, like homemade corned beef, super fluffy hotcakes, etc

The place is tiny but nice. The food was ok. There was a server, really nice lady, until it came time to give a tip. She was bitter after not getting the tip she wanted... A big group of us went to eat, and since they didn't allow us to split the check, one of our friends had to pay for everyone. Each one would pay for the food they got but the tip would be difficult after all the people had payed the one person for their meals. One person giving a 20% tip for the meal of 8 people...

Such a memorable place. I frequently order the belgian waffles with all fruit choices plus whipped cream, and they never skimp on anything. Also the staff are some of the nicest poeple I've ever met. They feel like friends instead of workers. The menu has both very affordable choices (if you just want two eggs, home fries, and toast) and expensive, if you want to treat yourself. Also, this place is open 24/7 which is awesome and something you rarely see around Boston since everything closes too early.

Cool vibe in downtown Boston, food was ok, and staff was distracted.

Tried South Street Diner for the first time. Perhaps it was just an off day as the experience as a whole was subpar. The over the phone pick up service appears to be Automated/AI. I asked for a side of hot sauce and they charged me for a small bottle of their homemade hot sauce, which a human taking my order would have been able to at least tell me that was my only option. I asked if they could do a side of spinach. First they said yes, then later they said no. I ordered a Togo Grapefruit juice which when I showed up I saw the receipt on my Togo bag(overlooked that it wasn't there initially but did ask the cook and waitress if everything was there)only to later find out that the grapefruit juice was not on the ticket but my receipt online shows I paid for a juice I never received. The omelette wasn't seasoned at all, the potatoes were over seasoned and the English Muffin was not toasted and there was no offer of butter or jelly. Perhaps this is the experience your diner is going for and that has to be accepted. If so, I will take my business elsewhere, it's a shame as this diner is on my way to work as a convenient option for breakfast
