The Arts Project of Cherry Grove (APCG) bills itself as America's oldest LGBTQ+ community arts organization. Founded in the late 1940s, it programs theater, cabaret, drag and community events out of the historic Cherry Grove Community House & Theatre and is a keeper of the Grove's decades-deep queer cultural history. Its productions and fundraisers are a fixture of the summer season and a big part of what gives Cherry Grove its artsy, community-run character, distinct from the Pines' club scene.
