Arts Project of Cherry Grove

The Arts Project of Cherry Grove (APCG) was founded in 1948 and describes itself as the oldest LGBTQ+ community arts organisation in the US. It is volunteer-run and stages theatre, cabaret, drag shows and fundraisers at the Cherry Grove Community House & Theatre on Bayview Walk. Programming follows the Fire Island summer season, roughly Memorial Day to Labor Day, with the busiest calendar in July and August. Shows are small and often sell out on holiday weekends, so buy tickets ahead. Cherry Grove is reached by ferry from Sayville.
