I absolutely love this place and everything about it. I have stayed in multiple rooms, they are all a great size, comfortable, clean, and have everything you need. The property is in a great location, right by the water and close to the “downtown” stores. The property also has plenty of outdoor space to hang out like gazebos and grills. The staff is great, friendly and help with anything you need. This is the only place I stay at in the grove and I go back every year.

Dune Point Guest House is a small oceanfront guesthouse in Cherry Grove on Fire Island. It’s more of a relaxed beach accommodation than a traditional hotel—quiet, close to nature, and very focused on location and atmosphere. The biggest advantage is its direct access to the ocean and the overall peaceful, car-free island environment

Beautiful modern accommodations. Exceptional service. Right on the boardwalk which gives you a front seat to the parade of colorful alternative people walking by. Beach is on the front side of apartment #1. Except for main holidays, the huge beach is very unpopulated. And even on holidays, there is still plenty of space to stretch out your beach towel. No lifeguards anywhere along the beach. No cars allowed on the island. Access only by ferry.
