Diamond Head Beach (Lighthouse Beach)

Diamond Head Beach, also called Lighthouse Beach, is a rocky, secluded stretch below Diamond Head Road east of Waikiki that has long been an informal gay and clothing-optional cruising spot. Reached by a short path down from the roadside pull-outs near the lighthouse, the quieter eastern end draws men for sunbathing and discreet socialising, mostly in daylight hours. It is a long-standing, generally tolerated area, but it is exposed, has no facilities, and nude sunbathing is technically against Hawaii law, so discretion and awareness of surroundings are advised. Hawaii is a welcoming, safe destination for LGBTQ+ visitors.
