Superb lovely hotel. Accommodating staff with great location, helpful staff. Bike racks outside. We had a 3 day stay for a wedding and brought our bikes and were able to explore the magnificent empire trail.
Beautiful, quiet hotel off the main strip. It is quite intimate so you will hear your neighbors in close quarters as the walls are fairly thin. The staff is great! The communal kitchen/pantry is well stocked, the water pressure is good and the beds are comfortable. It's also close to the main strip so very easy access for coffee shops/food/shopping etc. Parking at the back is very convenient and the pool is cute - though it was too cold and rainy to partake. I would 100% stay here again. Loved it!
Best hotel in Hudson ♥️
I had attended a wedding event that was held at this exceptional venue. The spacious accommodations and convenient proximity to local amenities, all within walking distance, were truly remarkable. We highly recommend this location for your stay.
We loved our stay at the Amelia! The building is so beautiful--our room was so clean and lovely. Staff is very friendly and accommodating! We were able to check in super early which we greatly appreciated. It was still a little pricey--especially since it was the off season, but it was worth it for a special occasion!
The Amelia is in a big beautiful Victorian just a few blocks from Warren St. in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed in Rm 8, which is quite large with a separate bedroom. The living area furnishings are a little sparse and not super comfortable (the leather lounger was unusable - so stiff and mean!). Our biggest issue was the windows - we stayed New Year's Eve, when it was quite windy and one of the 19th-century double-hung windows rattled all night. We eventually stuck coffee stirrers in the gaps to quiet things down. Another window was open at the top because the sash was broken, so every car that drove by was amplified (at least we were provided a space heater to keep things warm). We love an old historic house, but not when it robs you of sleep. Also, oddly, Rm 8's thermostat is controlled by Rm 6? The self-service breakfast spread downstairs in the little kitchenette was great - bagels, English muffins, various sweet breads, fresh fruit, granolas. Was all that worth $1,186 for two nights? Nope.
We stayed at the Amelia over Christmas holiday and could not be happier! The rooms were large, comfortable and clean and the house is gorgeous. Misty took exceptional care of us during our stay, always trying to anticipate every need. It was a magical experience!!
