L'El Cortez est un hôtel et un casino situé au 600 East Fremont Street, dans le centre-ville de Las Vegas. Ouvert depuis 1941, c'est le plus ancien casino de la ville en activité continue. C'est une propriété grand public, répertoriée ici comme accueillante pour les personnes LGBTQ+ plutôt que comme un lieu gay. Il attire les gens pour ses mises minimales basses, son décor « old-school » et ses tarifs de chambre bien inférieurs à ceux du Strip. Il est situé dans le quartier Fremont East, avec des bars et des restaurants sur le pâté de maisons et le canopy de la Fremont Street Experience à quelques minutes à pied vers l'ouest. Le Strip est accessible en covoiturage ou en bus. Les chambres varient beaucoup entre la tour d'origine et les autres ailes, alors lisez attentivement les descriptions des chambres avant de réserver.

Did not stay here but visited this casino in early Feb '26, had dinner and purchased sunglasses in the gift shop. Enjoyed the casino and the dinner very much. However, just a few days ago, I received aa couple charges from Cortez casino. So it appears that my card was scammed there when I was there in Feb.

Had an amazing experience at the Showbar inside El Cortez Hotel & Casino. The atmosphere was fun, lively, and exactly the kind of place you want to spend a great night out. A huge part of what made the visit so memorable was the bartender, Mikele. She was incredibly friendly, fast, and genuinely made everyone feel welcome at the bar. Even when it got busy, she stayed on top of everything without missing a beat, all while keeping a great attitude and making the experience enjoyable for everyone around. It honestly felt like she helped set the tone for the whole night. Great service, great energy, and a really fun vibe overall. If you’re in Vegas, you definitely need to stop by the Showbar at EL Cortez and see Mikele in action. She really makes the experience worth it, and I’d absolutely go back again just because of how great she was.

El Cortez is always a good bet for downtown. Just off Fremont, it is quiet enough to sleep but close enough to access everything the FSE has to offer. Rooms are clean and we’re ready when we arrived. Bellman Tony and cocktail server Liz were always a delight!

Old school hotel and casino with slots that let u play and decent dining options. The rooms are very nice with walk in showers. They have a few slots that pay in tokens. All the employees are very friendly. They also have a limo that will take you back to the airport, first come first serve. This is an adults only hotel and casino.

Came to the Parlor bar at El Cortez and bartenders Emilio and Carolina were there and they were fantastic! Had a great time and will definitely be back!
