Hôtel Maya

We stayed 4 nights. The hotel, itself, is very nice. The property is well maintained and there are several nice amenities including pool, jacuzzi, gym, fire pits, lounge chairs in the little “beach” area and even a roaming coati. for an authentic Mayan feel. . Walking around the property providesd gorgeous views of the Harbor. The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. However, our room, which had a cute balcony, directly faced the freeway, It was extremely loud. Sitting outside wasn’t enjoyable, and the sound of trucks barreling down could be heard at all hours of the night. I asked on several occasions to switch rooms but was told there were no other rooms available and switching was not possible. They are also doing construction, and because this room was also closest to the parking lot, you could hear the workers pretty early in the morning. I think it would have been a wonderful stay in a different room on the property.

Nice, convenient place to stay before or after your Carnival cruise

Loved the room but Palm tree blocking our view of the water from the balcony. Parking machine where it says pull ticket was out had to park a mile a way and walk up the back of the building. Loved the location and room

. Great scenery and quiet in the bay . Mini beach, campfires, pool, hot tub . Big property . Big rooms . Heated pool with cabanas and a nice hot tub . Rentals ... bike rentals, jet ski and other, jet ski is right by hotel . Transportation (seasonal) with passport route c to downtown, carnival cruise temrinal and aquabus, aqualink available Improve: . Remodeling the restaurant so lower options on what that restaurant offers . Floors in room are dirty and turn feet black .. seems dont mop . Note they do not have transportation to Royal cruise terminal

Had a pretty terrible experience here. Booked two nights online for about $210 per night for a standard king room. Was looking forward to a little anniversary getaway and some time by the pool. On arrival, there was a letter on the credenza notifying us that the atrium and some exterior areas were undergoing renovations. The next morning we were awoken at 7 AM to the sound of workers taping off our door with plastic and spray painting right outside our door. Tons of noise, not to mention the paint fumes wafting into our room. Certainly not the relaxing romantic environment. I expected to wake up in. On top of that, the only coffee pods in the room were decaf. When I called the front desk, they let me know that they were out of regular coffee… I said OK well send me a pot of coffee via room service then… They did comp the coffee itself, but not the delivery fee for Room service. We ended up getting that first night refunded, and canceled the second night and moved to another hotel. It’s beyond me how hotel management could believe that it’s reasonable to put guests in a room that is in direct contact with construction, renovation, painting,… Not only is it disturbing, not relaxing, but also unsafe. They did do the right thing by refunding the first night and letting us out of the second night, but I just can’t excuse the fact that we weren’t notified ahead of time about the construction and question the judgment in allowing guests to booking in these areas in the first place…

Reservation call center doesn’t have a clue of their own property and what’s available. Called to front desk and was transferred to a voicemail a few times . No one knew anything

Hotel service was excellent room was very clean. Very very nice view very quiet and peaceful. Heard a little bit noise from construction, but it was fine. Will visit again.
