About this place Hotel Maya

Hotel Maya sits on the Long Beach waterfront at 700 Queensway Drive — a boutique DoubleTree property with a Latin-influenced design aesthetic, marina views, and the kind of location that makes it a genuine destination hotel rather than merely a place to sleep. The hotel occupies a peninsula position with water on three sides; rooms have views of the marina, the Queen Mary, and the Long Beach skyline. The design references the Maya civilisation in its art and decor, creating an aesthetic identity that is genuinely distinct from the generic Southern California hotel. Hotel Maya is gay-welcoming — the staff culture and the proximity to the Broadway Corridor and the Pride event at Rainbow Lagoon Park make it a natural choice for LGBTQ+ visitors. The waterfront location is particularly well-suited to Long Beach Pride weekend: Rainbow Lagoon Park, where Pride is held, is a short walk or water taxi ride across the marina. The Playa restaurant at the hotel provides a strong dining option on-site. For visitors wanting waterfront accommodation close to both Long Beach's LGBTQ+ scene and its major attractions, Hotel Maya is the premium choice.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, pool, and location. On premise restaurant was delicious with very attentive staff. Walking distance to amphitheater. I will be back

Awesome place! Great view if you are in a room facing the ocean. Been here twice and second time there was some renovations and construction so a bit of a hassle getting in and out but love the rooms and service.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Long Beach, all of their pricing was very straightforward, and the reception package included a day-of coordinator, wedding cake, room for the night of, tables, linens, chairs, and the dance floor. They’re going through a rebrand, and sometimes you’ll see it called Hotel Maya and other-times it’s The Maya. For an outdoor ceremony, the Jardin de Palmeras was extremely romantic, and we loved the chandelier and waterfall-esque fountain at the altar. In winter months, they have a tent to help with potential rain and heat containment, as you are right on the water. They have three different outdoor ceremony spaces, and this was our personal favorite. For an indoor-outdoor reception with beautiful views of the water, we loved the Miramar Ballroom and connected Veranda. The views from the large floor-to-ceiling windows and connected balcony with sails were spectacular. I liked the carpet and the overall vibe. Cindy went above and beyond for us, from scheduling the tasting with the Chef around the opening of their new restaurant to sending us multiple proposals to helping us get the price point to our budget to checking with her culinary team to see which items were gluten-free to many emails back and forth. Choosing a wedding venue is such a difficult decision, and Cindy was a pleasure to work with every step of the way, and I am bummed that we won’t be working with her for our wedding. Although we ended up booking a venue closer to where we live in LA, of the eight wedding venues we toured, The Maya was tied for our top shared favorite spot during our venue search. We especially love that you can jet ski from the jet ski rental right by the pool of the Maya Hotel, which would be a fun Just Married activity for the next morning.

1st time visit, this hotel has a large resort feel to it. All my interactions with any staff members were positive. It is a large grounds Hotel with beautiful Oceanfront dining options and really nice trails zigzagging throughout the property. I even had a Walmart delivery for all my drinks before my cruise the next day, they were dropped off at the front desk lobby with no issues. They offer free shuttle service to nearby spots, but you do need to reserve especially for the morning of cruise embarkation. The room was nice and comfortable and even had an Nespresso coffee set up with two steel water bottles 😍 I would definitely stay here again. Parking fees for on-site is expensive, I reserved prepay parking for my vehicle at the Courtyard Marriott in LB through WAY Parking App, $55/6 days.

Room was ok. There was a dirty towel in the bathroom under the sink and dust bunnies in the room.. Definitely not worth the price I paid for 2 nights. You also have to double check and confirm you recieved everything that your package includes, because they missed my Smores and $50 dinner credit. Staff are friendly.
