Hôtel Fisherman's Cove Inn

They were so understanding, kind, and helpful! We had a problem with our arrival date, so we contacted the hotel to see if they could help. They not only resolved it promptly but also did so at no extra cost and with great patience! It's very close to Carmel-by-the-Sea, with restaurants nearby and even fast-food chains (the kind that stay open late) less than three blocks from the hotel! 100% recommended!

Good room for the price

Stayed there from March 16th through the 19th. The staff was super friendly. When we arrived our room wasn't clean due to the do not disturb sign having been left up, but they put us in another room while ours was cleaned. Manager personally checked on us to make sure everything was good. We stayed in the deluxe double queen which was nice and spacious, so our family of 4 wasn't tripping over each other. Will definitely be staying here again next time we are in town.

Rooms were nice and clean. Hotel management staff is excellent. Excellent location. Close to everything. Whole foods, bakery, restaurants.

The property seems to be remodeled which was nice and it was very clean. Close proximity to shops and the outdoor mall. It’s dog friendly though there is a $25 nightly fee per pet which is standard in the area. The manager is quite rude. Before arriving they send you a link to complete the onboarding which asks how many pets you have and you give a card number so you can be charged. You sign electronically. We did an after hours check in which I appreciate they accommodated. He had me sign the form again (which is looks like he printed out with my answers on it). After that the next day he was aggressively starting at me in my car when we came back from the beach with our dog. I got out and said “Hi how’s it going” and he simply responded “you have to pay the pet fee”. I said oh yeah I put my card on the link you sent me where I declared we had one pet. I asked if he could charge that card, and he said he would check. I came to the office and he said I didn’t pay and acted in an accusatory manner like I was trying to avoid paying the fee. He then said the system only lets him charge one night and I’ll just have to bring cash for the other 2 nights. I told him I don’t have cash, you can’t just charge my card? He said no, “ go get cash and bring me cash” in a super rude tone. Now I have to go find an ATM because he’s too incompetent to read his own onboarding form or use a point of sale system to manually charge. I understand that things happen and even if there was miscommunication it’s best to be polite about it. A simple, “hey there’s no way for me to charge your card, can you please get some cash to pay?” Would have been received much better than commanding me to do something on your behalf.

The staff was extremely friendly, polite and helpful and the location is ideal. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean… Perfect for what I needed. I didn’t think to take photos, but they were actually doing some upgrades while I was there so the rooms will have all new furniture, mattresses, etc. going forward, which will be a nice refresh even though I was quite comfortable with what I already had. I will definitely not hesitate to use Fisherman‘s Cove again in the future, thank you!

Great budget-friendly inn near Monterey/Carmel! We came here for a weekend getaway and were pleasantly surprised by how charming and nice the rooms are. Spacious and comfortable rooms with renovated bathrooms too. Would recommend! Prices are very reasonable- we’ll be staying here again for our next visit.

The price was good if everything worker our room heater did not work, was given a portable heater not rated for the room so room was not warm was cold, curtains are broke. Did not cover entrance to bathroom , broken table. Was not given a discount on room even though had these problems

I have stayed in several Munras motels over the years, but none compares to Fisherman's Cove. Rakhi and Paresh are very warm, welcoming hosts, and unusually helpful. Maid service was wonderful, with fresh towels carefully placed in their cubbies, and the two extra blankets my daughters brought were kindly stretched out atop the freshly made beds. For comfort and value, I would not hesitate to recommend this motel - and the proximity to Trader Joe's, Peet's Coffee and Parker-Lusseau patisserie and Whole Foods is delightful. Hoping this unassuming, simple, beautifully-run motel flourishes for many years to come.

Highly recommend! My place to stay every time I’m in town !

I live full time in an RV. The only reason I got a room at this motel was because I wanted to take an epsom salt bath. The bathtub wouldn’t hold water it just drained right back out so I went to the front desk and explained the situation and the woman I spoke with offered to upgrade me to a different room but it was late and I was too tired to go out and buy more epsom salt so I asked if I could just come back the next day and get a different room instead and she said yes and I could check in early. I retuned the room key to the original room the same day and never stayed in the room. I went back in the morning and the man working said I would have to come back after 11 to check in. He seemed kind of rude but I assumed it might be a language barrier and brushed it off. When I came back in the afternoon it was a different woman working. She said the other woman I had spoken to was her daughter and it seemed they had an entirely different conversation. She said she would not be giving me a new room or a refund for the room I never stayed in and she was outright rude from the beginning of the conversation. The parking lot was almost empty so they definitely had vacancy and could have helped me out but instead they chose just to cheat me out of my money.
