Nice older motel. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds.
I absolutely love how clean our room smelled right when we arrived. It was comforting knowing my little family walked into what smelled like a deeply sanitized hotel room. And I love the little towel decor. It was so cute.
We had a great time at Fisherman’s Cove Inn! The room was spacious and clean, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. Our room had a microwave and a coffee machine. It was also tucked away from the main road, which was a nice advantage compared with some of the other inns nearby, where many rooms face the main street. The location was also great: about 5 minutes from downtown Monterey and 15 minutes from Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. We were surprised by some of the lower-rated reviews here, which didn’t reflect our experience. It seems that the inn’s ownership or management may have changed somewhat recently, so perhaps that explains it.
We were looking for an affordable option in the area, so we could see the aquarium and local sites. That's what we got. It's a simple, clean place with friendly staff that take pride in their little motel. Was it perfect? No. Did it serve our purpose? Yes.
Easy check in, easy parking, clean room, all smooth. Room had a cleaning-product odor but it was tolerable and dissipated by the time we fell asleep.
Stayed here for the location and inexpensive rates. Very disappointed with the condition of the rooms. Exposed outlets, black mold in the shower, the walls there so thin I could hear our neighbors in the next room enough to make out what the we’re talking about. We chose to cut our stay short. It wasn’t comfortable and they were no willing to give us our money back for the next day. Our loss but wanted to warn everyone in advance. It’s not a clean and cozy stay. If you want a very cheap place to rest your head and don’t care about anything else then this might work for you. Wouldn’t recommend for families.
