Hôtel Best Western Plus Robert Treat

Recently stayed at the Robert Treat hotel for a graduation. I booked the exact rooms I needed on line. One room with 2 beds and one room with 1 bed. Checked in the first room which should have had two beds for two separate people and it had one bed. At that point we were asked which of the two rooms we wanted to change so of course I said the one that should have the double beds. Checked into the second room that should have had one bed and it had two beds... so neither room was correct upon check-in. Upon checking in you have to sign a paper that says that you will not smoke in the room which is not a problem because we don't smoke. Both rooms smelled so strong of smoke it was literally disgusting and was actually giving me a headache. Absolutely not one single cup in the room and some of the lights in the room would go on and off like there was a short. Yes I know it's convenient to both the New Jersey PAC and the Prudential Center but I don't think I will stay there ever again.

The rom was clean and had a mini fridge. The view was great and provided what was needed for our trip. However the towels provided throughout the stay were consistently dirty and had body hair or other stains on them. The provided toiletries also had body hair on them indicating they had not been changed out or checked to see if they were clean. The shuttle service from Penn Station was confusing as originally I was informed it came every hour on the half hour and then when it didn’t arrive I called again asking and was informed then that it had to be called. We waited for close to 30 minutes and it never showed up after it had supposedly been called. However the shuttle did work nicely to get to the airport!

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Outdated and you cannot control your own room temperature. It was too warm in our room and we were told to open a window as they shut down the system given some guests were too cold. The restaurant in the hotel has a room service menu online and provides a number to call and order. No one answered so we went downstairs to order at the restaurant. We were then told they do not have room service. A few more things that were not up to standard, just not worth mentioning. Just not worth it if you want to be comfortable.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I stayed with my family worst experience ever ! Rooms were FREEZING COLD ! Couldn’t get comfortable at all woke up sick. Front desk stated the heat will come up slowly but will come up! Never happened. The employees didn’t care at all didn’t try to accommodate. Never again !

Great budget option but does not include free breakfast on weekends and no coffee in room. Location walking distance to Prudential Center.

Great hotel aside from everything reeking of cigarettes and thin walls. Hot water runs out around 2am so don’t bother taking a shower then, but during the day, the hot water seems infinite.

I checked in late as i was in between 2 flights.There was very sketchy people hanging in the lobby, on drugs..yelling to use the bathroom. the person at the front desk was terribly dry.. i felt like i was annoying him. The rooms we’re ok but the place felt dirty.

I never stayed in Newark NJ before. This was the first time. I booked my stay at this hotel for May 2 to the May 3rd. This hotel is very misleading. 1- The hotel is rated a luxury hotel a 4 star. But it is not a luxury hotel. The photos are very misleading. The entire hotel looks outdated including my room. This is hotel is more like a 2 to 3 star hotel not 4. 2- I get there at 1 my room was not ready so they told me to give my bag to security so they can lock it in the closet. Upon coming back, they page security and knowone came. I had to go back to the front to have them page again. 3- I was on the 10th floor and it was so hot i could not breath even with the window open. I called the front desk for maitnence to look the ac. I had to call the front desk twice to get some one to assist. Now when Maitnence showed up, he indicated that i could not put AC becasue there they did not switch it to AC and I have to just deal with the room being hot. I had to buy a fan to get air and leave the window open. It would been nice to know this. This was a bad experience and I will never stay here again.

Louis the over night security was so helpful and nice 10stars I will coming back I'm from texas I really enjoyed myself here !!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
