Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort

Our glamping and deluxe glamping tents were clean and comfortable. This was my first glamping experience and it lived up to expectations. I could have used more private patio space - the deluxe tents face each other so you are somewhat obligated to make friends with neighbors. My kids loved this, but I was tired and would have liked some privacy. The pool here was so much fun and the hamburgers were delicious, although other food was mostly average. There was so much to do, you could stay many nights and not be bored. The drive is about 45 minutes to Zion, making it less convenient to access, and there is no reception on the drive. We still spent plenty of time in the park, just know that you won’t be going back and forth. Overall Ponderosa Ranch was a refreshing alternative to the other places we stayed on our national park vacation and I would return.

We felt it was a scam to stay at this place that calls itself a “resort” for the price paid. Unwelcome attitude from the staff everywhere we went, seems like they do not want to be here. All the games in the rec room were either broken or missing pieces. The elderly lady at the front desk was rude and ignorant when approached to ask questions. On the second night, we ran out of body wash in the shower, walked to the front desk to request more, only for them to send someone with shampoo 45min later… The “suites” were glorified cabins that were poorly maintained. There were visible gaps in the walls where insects could come through. The stargazing tour was the only memorable experience we had, the staff was kind and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the stars, and had a fun time looking at Jupiter from the telescope!

We rented cabins in the past with friends and always loved it. Today, we finished TopZion abd while waiting for our 2nd van, we went to get ice cream there. I absolutely love this ranch.

I took the shuttle to hike observation point overlook. My camper van I was renting had broke down in the shuttle parking lot. The manager understood my situation and they let me stay in the parking lot overnight until a mobile mechanic was able to come the next morning. The resort itself was nice with lots of shower facilities, two pools and two hot tubs. The staff were very nice as well.

Great place for a group

I got the glamping tent meant for 6 ppl. One queen sized bed, two stacked twin beds and couch turns into a full size bed. When we arrived one of the twin beds was dirty. It had foot prints all over it, and was covered in dust. It had no blankets covering it. The convertible couch was even worse. It was very stiff and uncomfortable and was very dirty. Had old stains and dirt marks. We complained about the dirty twin bed and they cleaned up and put new sheets on it. However, it’s literally impossible to clean the couch since the stains are in the fabric. Definitely wouldn’t want to sleep on that. Especially with how stiff the couch is. If you’re planning on having multiple people during your stay I’d recommend upgrading to cabin with actual beds. Food was mid for the price. The lake is more of a pond. The star gazing tour was mid. You’re basically paying for someone to explain the constellations, look through a mid telescope and cheap Swiss chocolate milk and apple cider. You could just walk to the trail for free to see the stars and use a good star gazing app while you’re up there. Other than that, it’s a good place to be at if you’re visiting the National parks and don’t intend on spending most of your day at the resort.

Super spot to travel from to the parks. Wide range of facilities. We stayed in the tiny house which aren't tiny at all. Two bedrooms and a lovely balcony.. Pill and all available, great.

Staff are very nice. Property is well maintained and lots to do for families Food well the nicest thing I could say is find somewhere else to eat.
