Inn At 835 Boutique Hotel

This Inn was ok. It’s an older historic building. We had the Hydrangea Room. It was nice and quiet. The tub/shower was not for the average person. It had a jacuzzi tub with a shower as one therefore you had to climb up and over to get in to take a shower. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. On our first day, they offered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, coffee and water. They offered no juice. They had cereal but no milk. They offered instant oatmeal and tea but no hot water. And there was no one around to ask to get either. The second morning, we didn’t bother looking to see what was being served.

Hopefully no one else experienced what we did, returned home to DOZENS of itchy bites after a one night stay. We would not have expected them from such a nice hotel. It seemed very clean, but there was a lot of drapery and upholstery around bed that would be hard to clean/ inspect. I feel bad for waiting to post this for anyone’s sake who stayed there since.

I've been here twice. The first time. I really enjoyed the breakfast. This time I really did not. One extra thing but a dish didn't need and just sort of took it over the top for me. And I did taste green peppers so putting them in anything really makes it all taste. Very bad to me. Here's an elevator that'll get you to the third floor if that's where you happen to be. There is no easy into the building so you're going to be dragging stuff up some stairs personally I find going in the back door easier because you've got like one straight half flight of steps rather than struggling with the outside steps inside steps and vestibule and inner doors if you go in the front. I probably won't go back, not because there was anything wrong, but because I'd like to stay at a different place the next time I come to town. I don't think anyone who stayed there would be unhappy. I do wish that they would take some notes more. Seriously. The bathroom off the room we used is very large but there's no place to set anything down. Last time we were there we remarked that having like a little table close to the potty it would be convenient and that has not happened. But you can't have everything. You will not be unhappy if you stay here.

The staff at this lovely hotel take great care of the guests. When I checked in, the innkeeper showed me where everything was, walked me to my room, and explained how to use the shower (since it was a bit different from usual). She recommended some attractions in the area and answered my questions. They had a nice social/snack time in the dining area in the early evening, delivered cookies to the rooms a bit later, gave two tokens for free drinks at one of their restaurant/brewery/cidery locations, and included breakfast, which was very good. The room was very nice. I had a shared balcony. Sound did travel easily from the hallway, so I could hear other guests, but that's to be expected in an older building like this. It didn't bother me or prevent me from sleeping. The building is lovely and very charming.

Very nice Hotel that my wife found that was close to the house, to get us away for the evening. Very easy to get to, plenty of parking (well lite), very enthusiastic hostess that greated us as we arrived. Walked us around the hotel to show us the amenities the hotel had to offer. The jacuzzi tub was the main reason we picked this particular room. The Bathroom is a very very good size. This is for sure all about a couple getaway night. Would highly recommend if your in the area make the reservation and enjoy what the Inn at 835 Boutique Hotel has to offer.

Calm, comfortable and convenient. This is a truly well preserved heritage place with boutique hotel experience.

Great place to stay. Homemade cookies 🍪, the custom woodwork, the made to order breakfast. The c/s is helpful and great.

Beautiful place to stay, staff is so wonderful. We will definitely be coming back. We stayed in the Bell House so cute.

The pictures of our room did not do it justice. It was so beautiful and comfortable and the inn keeper is so kind. They really make it feel like a home. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I take a trip every October and try to stay somewhere unique. This was perfect! We stayed in the Lily Room. Every evening, they bring chocolate chip cookies to your room - outstanding! And it was pretty nice to smell the fresh baked cookies through the inn hallways. Very clean and feels very safe and secure. There is a continental breakfast available each morning in addition to a fresh cooked breakfast - one morning they were offering apple pie stuffed French toast with eggs, bacon, and sausage, and the next morning was biscuits and gravy with eggs and fruit. Very quickly prepared and very kind chefs. They even have small appetizers available in the evening. Very close to the Dana Thomas House and other downtown tourist attractions. Plenty of onsite parking which is a huge plus. Would definitely stay here again.
