Hôtel Loews Philadelphia

My favorite hotel when visiting Philadelphia. The rooms are large with big windows. The beds are plush and comfortable. Sometimes the a/c fan is a little loud, but I’d rather have a little noise than no a/c available. The gym is great! It has every piece of equipment you could want, a sauna, and complimentary water bottles. The location is fantastic- walking distance to city hall, Rittenhouse square, the gayborhood, and plenty of metro stop. In fact- you can travel as far as Trenton, NJ by walking 1/4 mile and with $3.25 in change. There is a CVS, Marshall’s, Ross, and Primark nearby in case you forgot anything in your luggage. It’s right by the convention center and reading terminal as well. The staff are my favorite part of this hotel. They are always smiling, even when I check in at 1am or need help getting my work materials out the revolving door side. Any and all issues with my room or key card have been resolved so efficiently that I cannot even recall the last need I had. Philadelphia is an expensive city to live, work, and play in but Loews is money well spent.

Great location don’t look for help from staff clean rooms great price

This hotel DOES NOT have a pool. The photos are misleading showing pictures of a pool. When I mentioned the pool photos the front desk said this is a known issue. It takes a long time to get an elevator to get in and out of hotel. Room service made a couple of mistakes but fixed them quickly. But overall, the rooms were clean and quiet. I thought the beds were comfortable but husband and kid found them too hard.

Saul, Roxanne and Veronica exceptional customer service from all 3. Kudos to them for being very welcoming especially with so many attendees for several different events happening during the busy weekend.

Very posh luxury hotel right in the middle of downtown Philly. Close to many major attractions. Service was prompt and professional.

We chose this hotel because it is in the Amex Hotel Collection so it would trigger the half yearly hotel credit that we want to take advantage of before the end of June. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel. Although the room was comfortable enough and we were upgraded to what they call a "premium deluxe" I'm glad we didn't pay the rate for that room because it would hardly have been worth it. The room was the same size as the regular room so the only reason it counted as an upgrade was the fact that it was on a higher floor. There was nothing luxurious about it. As for service, this place is not luxurious. Starting with the valet. We used our Amex property credit of $100 to cover the $62 per night parking fee. That is supposed to cover 24 hours but we didn't even park for a full 48 hours. You better believe we got charged the full $124 for parking for 2 nights though! Every time we either parked the car or needed to get the car out, it was total chaos. One time, the valet misplaced our tesla valet key and I had to come back down from the room to help them look for the key. This was at 10 pm at night. The restaurant gets very crowded for breakfast so if you're planning on using your property benefit of breakfast for 2, make sure to make a reservation. We did that the second morning of our stay and our table still wasn't even ready at our reservation time. The restaurant also becomes overwhelmed very easily. We ordered a la carte instead of the buffet and waited almost 45 minutes for our food despite the restaurant having emptied out at that point and most of the rest of the tables seemed to have chosen the buffet so we could not figure out what was holding up our order. Then, when we got the check, we were charged a different price for the kids' meals compared to the previous morning for no reason. When we asked what the change in price was for, the waiter said let me ask my manager to change it for you. As if we were asking for a special price! And to top it all off, when I got the bill at checkout, the Amex property credit and other benefits had not been properly applied. When I asked about it, they said they would fix it and said ok the credits have been applied. They said they would email me a new bill. Its been 5 days and I still have not received an updated bill. But the charges have hit my card and I can't even check the folio to see if they adjusted it correctly. What a nightmare. Avoid if you don't want a headache.

Great room. Staff extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

I had a great stay at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia. The hotel was very clean and in an excellent location, making it easy to explore the city. I especially loved the coffee downstairs; it was the perfect way to start the day. Scott was personable, professional, and made check-in a breeze. He was also able to get us adjoining rooms, which we really appreciated. His excellent customer service really stood out. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel’s condition is a little below 4 stars, but the service from all the employees I met was 5 stars.

This is the second Loews location we've stayed at (Chicago downtown was first) and it met the already high bar. It was a busy event filled weekend at this location but we didn't see any negative service impacts from it. It's located in a wonderful area to walk to several attractions, restaurants, and general exploring. We will continue to prefer the Loews brand when traveling as a couple and a family.

The location is good. Room is clean and staffs are nice. The only issue was the mattress. It was not flat. I guess the center is kind of collapsed and they just put mattress topper. When I laid down, I felt tilted and it was really uncomfortable to sleep.
