The Logan Philadelphia, Curio Collection by Hilton

Had a wonderful stay this past week. Grab a room with a view of Logan Square and you won't be disappointed! You can even see the Philadelphia Museum of Art if you're high enough (and the place has a wonderful rooftop bar if you aren't). And a special thanks to Lee at the front desk. You had a very welcoming and cheerful personality and made the stay extra special, thank you!

Great location, near many attractions - Rocky Steps, Reading Market Terminal, restaurants, etc. Great roof to section!

My last morning at The Logan completely overshadowed what had otherwise been a decent stay. At 7AM I was woken up by loud knocking, and before I could respond, someone used a keycard to unlock and open my room door. I announced myself, they apologized and left. I was asleep inside my room. This was not a knock on the wrong door — my room was actively unlocked by someone with authorized keycard access. I reported it to the front desk immediately. At checkout I was told it may have been another guest looking for their room. That explanation does not hold. Other guests do not have keycard access to occupied rooms. When I pointed this out, I was told they would investigate and follow up. They never did. A hotel's most basic obligation to its guests is safety. The unauthorized entry alone was alarming. The dismissive explanation and complete lack of follow-through made it worse. If you are a solo traveler or anyone who takes their personal safety seriously, that is worth factoring into your decision to stay here.

The location of this hotel is so great! So does the service. Linda at the front desk went above and beyond and I would recommend this hotel to anyone to visit Philly!

My stay at The Logan Philadelphia, Curio Collection by Hilton was more disappointing than I expected, mainly because the overall experience did not quite match the “luxury & wellness” atmosphere the hotel’s branding seems to promise. I had chosen the property hoping for a calm and restorative long weekend combining sightseeing, rest, and time to unwind around the spa and relaxation areas, but the atmosphere felt much more family-oriented and lively than anticipated. The pool area, in particular, felt more like a children’s leisure space than a tranquil wellness environment. The noise level around the pool also made it very difficult to relax. Children were frequently shouting and playing loudly in the space, and because the indoor pool area echoes heavily, it was nearly impossible to quietly read a book or unwind, even with earplugs or headphones. The overall atmosphere throughout the hotel was similarly lively, with running and shouting in the hallways early in the morning, which made sleeping in nearly impossible. Altogether, it felt quite far from the peaceful and refined atmosphere portrayed online. I was also surprised by the “breakfast included” offering, which is actually a dining credit for the hotel restaurant rather than a true breakfast experience. The selection felt quite limited, and on weekends guests are directed toward a brunch format with a fairly fixed menu, which may appeal to some travelers but was personally not what I was looking for. This is not a bad hotel at all, it simply may be better suited to a different type of traveler than myself. I came hoping to enjoy a peaceful long weekend combining sightseeing, rest, and time to unwind, and the overall atmosphere was unfortunately not quite the calm wellness experience I had expected.

Me and my family will never return because I was literally eaten alive by bed bugs. I informed the staff and while they stated they did an investigation, they refused to show me any proof of such. Stay far away!
