Liberty Park (Gay Cruising Area)

Liberty Park, the large green rectangle between 900 and 1300 South on the east side of downtown, is Salt Lake City's other long-referenced cruising ground. Its perimeter paths and quieter corners have drawn a discreet after-dark crowd for years. Like Memory Grove, this is a heavily used family park with playgrounds, a pond and an aviary, so any activity is low-key and late; ordinary caution and an awareness of local law-enforcement attention apply.
