The Sage Hotel

The only problem was the pool was closed. I stayed for my 56 birthday. The only thing that made up for the pool. Was Margarita Monday saved it .

Average room, but a nice breakfast every morning, and a very nice bar, patio

Honestly, I'd seen some negative reviews and almost canceled my reservation. I'm glad I kept it because, for a more than reasonable price compared to its competitors, the room was clean, the bed incredibly comfortable, the breakfast varied and delicious, there was a shuttle to Santa Fe Plaza, the restaurant was very good and affordable, the grounds were well-designed, there was a designated smoking area, and ice was available free of charge. One small negative point: the bathroom was a bit dated. Of all the hotels we stayed in over 15 days, this was definitely the best value for money.

This hotel gets a star for the location. It’s a great spot. Walkable to lots of cool stuff. Everything else is terrible. The pool was mysteriously “closed” during peak season in the summer, so we were in a tiny room with two kids who couldn’t blow off steam at a pool. The WiFi doesn’t reach all the rooms, so while you can’t swim in the closed pool, you also can’t stream a movie for a “movie night in” with the kids. The service is TERRIBLE. We requested housekeeping, they didn’t come, when we called the desk to discuss, they transferred us to a non-working number. The rooms are small and damp, so they get dirty QUICKLY. With no housekeeping, we were stuck in a tiny room that smelled like feet with no toilet paper, no fresh towels, and no amenities. My husband had to go fetch towels and toilet paper on MULTIPLE occasions during our stay. Maybe this would be fine for people with no kids. If you are constantly on the go and don’t intend to spend any time in the room, maybe it would be fine. If you have kids who need an afternoon rest, look elsewhere.

This was our second time staying here; I do not recommend it. It has significantly gone downhill since 2022. There was a hole in the wall; and rotten door.

I booked this hotel through a third party app to stay for only a few hours overnight as it what the halfway point for a 17 hour drive. When I arrived they “had no available rooms” despite me already paying. Then they gave me the excuse that they “could not refund me” because “it was booked through Expedia” despite it being their mistake to begin with. Also, this is a lie because I recently needed to change a booking at the Drury Inn which they honored with no problem despite me booking through this same platform. Ultimately, it’s weaponized incompetence and I would stay away from this place.

Room was ok. Floors were dusty but everything else seemed clean. TV wouldn’t turn on. Got charged a $15 amenities fee which really should be charged up front. There’s a Keurig but only decaf coffee. Breakfast was on point. For the price and being in Santa Fe I’d go back since we really just needed the room to sleep.

Great little concept hotel which is more like a motel. However amenities like "free" breakfast and shuttle service available. You pay a fee per night for these services but worth it if you eat breakfast and would like to ride around to near by places and not have to pay for parking. Very pet friendly with multiple areas for bathroom needs and clean up bags and trash available. Location is easy to get to all major areas like The Plaza, Loretto chaple, and the Railyard. This is a more progressive like place than typical Santa Fe. Very comfortable beds, a bit small in rooms but lots of space to keep your items. They really made the space useful.

Have stayed here a couple of times now. Great hotel with excellent staff. Special shout out to Patrick who went over and above with his service when I stayed here. He is the best, so kind and helpful! Thanks Patrick we will be back 😊

It's clean, centrally located, and comfortable, but the woman who served us put us last because she had to wait in line. She said she couldn't find us on the Booking.com reservation and made us wait about 15 customers after her. That was really rude.

Roaches and bedbugs in the messy rooms. There was also hair all over the shower when we got there. Paper thin walls as well. If they can’t get the fundamentals right, they have no right charging a “resort fee.” This is a seedy motel - the price does not reflect that fact, to say the least. It’s been weeks since management said they’d get back to me about our stay, but so far, nothing. It really pains me to leave a negative review but others should know about this experience.
