My experience was quick. Veterans Assistance helped me taking me out of a DV situation. I received sec 8 in King County and had it ported to Seattle. Found an apartment and moved in. Three months.
On hold for a client and the line rings all to be put back on. Hold. When I've gone in there are many staffers behind the counter being paid to be on phones and speak in foreign tongues. The stagg constantly blame being short staffed for the long waits and/or lack of work being done. Maybe a call to HUD about how the PHA is operating. She's. Hold for 20 minutes is ridiculous.
We need to change that name- “authority”. There’s no comments section on Social Media also. The staff and security at these buildings display a similar attitude of "authorities" over the residents. Some of the residents have been in housing so long they think they have ownership of the buildings. There's news stories on TV about stuff residents complaining about maintenance issues not being addressed. Some buildings are really old and appliances are out dated.
I've been a voucher holder for decades now due to my disabilities. I don't know what's been going on in the past year but it's basically impossible to get a hold of anyone and when you can, it feels like my issues just get more and more put off to the increased frustration of my landlord. Don't know what I'm going to do if this continues on.
Horrible system at thw central office. Waiting 2 hours to turn in documents dor a client ia ridiculous. Then they state they're understaffed. The staffing ratio is not ny issue ..thw customer service is.The poor people of Seattle having to deal with this agency
I don’t know what they do but they don’t answer emails, phone or voicemails… horrible. -5 stars….
