Seattle Housing Authority

I believe Seattle housing authority they being able to provide for most low income housing assistance it's very difficult operation it's a lot of work and takes a lot of energy to make for everyone makes happy in safe and they are trying to shelter for everyone

I wish I could give negative 5 stars. I've had Section 8 tenants for many years. My direct phone calls to the responsible agent and his manager are never answered. I have left many voicemails that are never returned. Not once ever. I have even mailed a letter which also go unanswered. It's like a blackhole that sucks everything in but nothing ever comes out. The only time I get a response is when I make an appointment to see a live person. The last time I was there, I had to wait 15 minutes into my 30 minute appointment before someone came out. During that time, about 7 young employees came to the front desk to bullshitting about their personal life at 8:30 am. They were not the front desk clerks as the front desk clerks were sitting there doing nothing but checking on their phones.

CANNOT REACH A LIVE PERSON AT SEC.8 EVER!!! BEEN HER 14 YRS, A DISABLED SENIOR...AND CANNOT GET A LIVE PERSON TO FOR ASSISTANCE AT ALL!!! WHY IS THIS AN ALLEGED "BUSINESS" NUMBER WHEN IGNORED AND TREATED LIKE A BUSY-NESS IN BOTHER??

They are horrible when its about people safety how do you let someone back who set there apartment on fire that could of killed or injured other people in the building make it make sense when i specifically told them i dont feel safe and then people that dont leave there is getting in and people are missing with people stuff in the washer and dryer its much i asked for corporate number they refused to give it too me im just over it

Super friendly and helpful staff. No not perfect but every question, concern or issue I had was resolved. Yes they could be faster but after reading a ton of negative comments here, I decided to give my experience and rating. This place is not perfect, yes they need to work on some things and unfortunately not everyone will be helped sadly cuz that's unrealistic, but the lives they have impacted are huge including my own! They do this from the passion to end homelessness and everyday they strive to better serve clients which is what matters.

I would give negative 5 stars if I could. They need to do better answering call, email, voice message. Even walking into there building was unsuccessful. Had a telecommunication appointment which they canceled the day of.

I filled out an application with the Housing Authority in December 2024 it is now March 11, 2025 and I have had no response from the Housing Authority I called the Housing Authority today and now they’re telling me that there’s no address on my application which is not true I am homeless but I did put down a mailing address where I can get my mail the Housing Authority is very frustrating to deal with

Discriminate against black people and offer false hope with assistance. Told a client that they had an eviction which was not true, waste time so the voucher can not be used. I can only imagine how they treat others in need. I’m contacting BBB tomorrow, no worries.

My experience with Seattle housing has been exceptionally wonderful. I have no complaints everyone does their job very well. Thank you for the experience.
