About this place Smith

Smith, a gay bar at 332 15th Avenue East, anchors a corner of Seattle's Capitol Hill. It’s a place for a relaxed evening out, and the vibe is easygoing. You’ll find a full bar: cocktails, craft beers, and plenty of whisky. If you're not drinking, they make their own juices. The kitchen puts out seasonal food, so it's a decent bet if you want to eat as well as drink. You could easily spend a whole night here and not feel the need to move on. Capitol Hill has lots of gay bars; Smith is one of the more comfortable, less scene-y ones. Check smithseattle.com for current hours and what’s on the menu.

Nice bar and grill with helpful staff, but over-priced unless during Happy Hour.

This place was incredible. Based on the website I was expecting a higher scale fancy restaurant/bar but it was just a nice comfy place. We went during happy hour and got 2 well drinks and 2 appetizers, our total cost was around $40 and it was a great value. The hot wings were good, the homemade garlic sauce to dip them in was amazing, and it was like 9 big wings for $12. We also got the duck poutine, which was incredible. The server was attentative and kind and I will absolutely be coming back here. This was one of the better bar experiences in Seattle for me.

Smith is an excellent restaurant! I recently went to Smith with a gal group that I am a part of and I was very impressed with the food quality and the service. The service was a bit slow the day we were there, but probably because we were such a big group. I had the breakfast poutine with mushroom gravy and it was excellent. They have a limited selection of vegetarian options, but the ones they do have are delicious and served warm and fresh. They also have an excellent selection of mimosa flavors. They were a great spot for brunch on the hill. The staff were very nice, kind, and efficient and gave great recommendations. The vibe was very much western traditional meets casual. I really liked the vibe and the music (although a bit loud). Overall, myself and my group had a great time and I highly recommend Smith for a good brunch!

hadn't been for years but popped in last night for a weeknight meal - cocktails were excellent, salmon and scallops were cooked to perfection, and risotto and hummus were delicious. nice to see a neighborhood spot doing it right

Great experience and great vibe to the place. We really appreciate the gluten free items that on the menu and they are clearly marked. Friday night. We got the Buffalo wings, Brussel sprouts, scallops and NY steak. All if it was great no complaints and everything is fairly priced. Service is great and its a major bonus that its right next door to the comedy club so its great for a date night.
