The Lumberyard Bar is an LGBTQ+ bar on 16th Avenue SW in White Center, just south of Seattle's city limits. It is a neighbourhood place rather than a destination club, with a local, mixed queer crowd, food, drinks and regular events. It was rebuilt after a fire in 2016 and reopened as one of the area's queer gathering spots. White Center is a 20-minute drive from Capitol Hill, Seattle's main gay district, and is reachable by bus from downtown. It is a good option if you are staying in West Seattle or near the airport.
