Gay Saunas in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai's gay bathhouse scene is small but reliable: three main saunas, plus a few gay male-massage studios. It's not as big as Bangkok, but the places are friendly and easy to get to. Hours can change, so check a venue's Facebook page before you go.

Club One Seven

This sauna is part of the Club One Seven gay men's hotel on Charoen Prathet Road. It's the oldest gay sauna in town, with steam, sauna, and social areas. A natural meeting point for gay travelers staying nearby.

House of Male

House of Male is in Chang Phueak, north of the Old City, and it's Chiang Mai's other dedicated bathhouse. They do regular buddy nights and get a relaxed, local crowd, so it's been a favorite on the city's sauna circuit for a while.

Kaikan CNX

On Wua Lai Road, Kaikan CNX has a Japanese onsen feel, with a communal bath, jacuzzi, dry sauna, and steam room. It's open every day, entry is cheap, and it's become a popular, clean, friendly spot for locals and visitors alike.

Gay Massage

Beyond the saunas, Chiang Mai has several gay male-massage studios, mostly around Santitham and the Old City. You can get traditional Thai, oil, and aromatherapy massage from male therapists in private rooms. They're an easy, low-key alternative to the saunas and are listed among the city's gay venues.

For a bigger bathhouse scene, your best bet is Bangkok. Chiang Mai's listings above are real, checked, and kept current.
