Prague's gay scene has grown from a handful of quiet spots into a real nightlife circuit, from underground drag pubs to sleek cocktail bars. Most of it happens in Vinohrady, the established gay neighbourhood around Namesti Miru metro station, with a few extra spots in Zizkov and the Old Town.
Vinohrady — The Gay Quarter
Think of Vinohrady as Prague's Soho or Marais: a residential neighbourhood with a lot of LGBTQ+ people, a tight cluster of bars, and a relaxed, local feel. The streets around Namesti Miru and down toward Prague 2 hold the most gay venues.
- Club Termix (Trebizskeho 4a, Prague 2) is small, busy and popular with young Czech locals. It really fills up Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. No pretence, no tourist markup.
- The Saints (Polska 32, Prague 2) is a cosy, British-run gay bar with English-speaking staff and a casual feel — one of the easier spots for first-time visitors.
- Bar 21 (Rimska 21, Prague 2) is a small cellar bar decorated with local art, quiet early and livelier later. A classic neighbourhood gay bar.
- JampaDampa (V Tunich 10, Prague 2) is the city's main LGBTQ+ and lesbian-leaning bar-club, with regular themed nights.
- Heaven Club and Club Garage are the go-to spots for dancing and a cruisier late crowd.
- Friends (Bartolomejska 11, Prague 1) is the biggest gay drinking spot in the Old Town, easy to find and popular with tourists and a younger crowd.
- Cafe Cafe (Rytirska 10, Prague 1) serves coffee and beer with a summer terrace — more cafe than bar, but a welcoming daytime stop.
- Drake's Bar & Club (Zborovska 50, Smichov) is a long-running all-male gay cruise and fetish club, open around the clock.
- UP&DOWN Bar & Club (Seifertova, Zizkov) runs on two levels and keeps late hours, in the space that was for years the famous Pinocchio.

Alternative Scene
The Bourgeois Pig Music Club (Koubkova 2, Prague 2) is an unpretentious alternative hangout that spins vinyl and feels genuinely different from the usual club circuit — one of the highest-rated venues in the city for character.
