Brooklyn Pride

Brooklyn Pride is the borough's annual LGBTQ+ celebration, organized by the volunteer-run Brooklyn Pride, Inc. Held on the second Saturday of June and centered on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, it is best known for its Twilight Parade — one of the only nighttime Pride marches in the United States. The day also features a street festival with multiple stages, a multicultural festival, community and vendor booths, a family area and an early-morning five-kilometer run. Free and open to all, Brooklyn Pride draws tens of thousands and has a distinctly grassroots, community-driven and politically engaged character that sets it apart from Manhattan's larger march.
