Residence Inn by Marriott Norwalk
Many visitors praise the Residence Inn by Marriott Norwalk for its friendly and accommodating staff, particularly mentioning Bryan George, and find the rooms to be clean and comfortable. However, a recurring complaint is the significant noise from the nearby elevated train line, which some guests describe as disruptive. Parking spots are also noted as being very narrow.

Rooftop bar is a hidden gem.
I had a fantastic stay at this Marriott! The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The amenities were great, and I loved the breakfast options. Definitely a place I would recommend!
The first impression I got when I entered the lobby was how dark it felt. The concrete slab flooring also made the space seem unfinished. The staff was pleasant, the room was spacious, and it was clean, but the constant noise made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The refrigerator was loud, there were occasional banging sounds, and there was significant street noise, including trains. There is a rooftop bar, and I was curious about the view. I took the elevator up, and it opened into a small hallway. On the left was the door to the bar, but it was locked. On the right was a door leading to the emergency stairwell, which was also locked. This seemed unusual and could be a fire-code concern.
Parking Tip: Their parking garage is often full, but there is free street parking from 9p to 9am right out front. During the day you can park for up to 3 hours for about $4, so if you leave by 9a and get in after 6p it's silly to pay $20 for their overcrowded parking garage.
Beware, there is a homeless encampment behind the wall of the parking garage. Hotel seems to be in the red light district with several people soliciting services in the road and alleys around the hotel. Found several needles in the garage and in front of the hotel.
