Marcha del Orgullo La Paz

La Paz’s Marcha del Orgullo marks Bolivia’s Día de las Diversidades Sexuales y/o Genéricas on 28 June. The actual event happens on the nearest Saturday, moving through the city centre in the evening. The La Paz municipality’s Consejo Ciudadano de Diversidades Sexuales y/o Genéricas is linked to the organization. In 2018, more than 50 groups joined in, including Asociación TLGB de La Paz and Fundación Enlace.

The route that year started at Plaza Bolivia, ran along Avenida Arce, and went down El Prado to end at Plaza San Francisco. Municipal guards closed the roads to keep the space clear. A similar march takes place in El Alto.
