Free Exhibition Celebrates Films from Chile and Brazil
About the event
The exhibition celebrates Brazilian and Chilean film production with screenings at the Centro Cultural São Paulo and Cine Brasília in August.
The BRASCHI Film Exhibition arrives at the Centro Cultural São Paulo between August 4th and 9th, bringing together a selection of seven fundamental works of Chilean cinema, including heritage classics and internationally awarded contemporary productions. With free admission, the event is part of a binational project created by Lenehr Filmes to strengthen cultural exchange between Brazil and Chile, expanding Brazilian audiences' access to the diversity and excellence of Chilean cinematography. Between August 11th and 15th, audiences in Brasília will have the chance to see eight Chilean cinema classics at Cine Brasília.
After the success of the first edition held at the National Cinema Library of Chile, in Santiago, which attracted over 1,400 spectators, the exhibition lands in Brazil, reaffirming cinema as an instrument of dialogue, memory, and rapprochement between the two countries, as well as encouraging new opportunities for co-production and collaboration between audiovisual sector professionals and institutions.
Cultural Exchange between Brazil and Chile The BRASCHI Film Exhibition is a binational project dedicated to the circulation, appreciation, and rapprochement of Brazilian and Chilean cinematographies.
