Terrible service - Reservation canceled 2 days in advance! I would like to file a formal complaint regarding the improper cancellation of my reservation at the Royal Palm hotel, made through the Booking.com platform. More than a month ago, I booked three rooms for accommodation between May 22nd and 24th, due to my brother-in-law's wedding, which will take place on May 23rd. The reservation was duly confirmed by email and, subsequently, I contacted the hotel directly to arrange details of the stay, including the request for rooms close together due to the presence of my 1-year-old daughter, who will even participate in the ceremony as a flower girl. At the time, the hotel confirmed that: the reservation was correct and active; the rooms could be together; payment would only be made at check-in. Therefore, the entire trip was organized based on this confirmation, including tickets, family logistics, and planning for walking to the ceremony location, precisely to avoid difficulties with a small child, without the need for a car or car seat. However, just two days before the trip, I received an email informing me that my reservation had been unilaterally cancelled. Upon contacting the hotel, I was informed that there had been overbooking and that, according to them, they could cancel the reservation without further explanation.
