Parque do Botafogo

Parque do Botafogo is a public park in Goiânia's Setor Central, next to Alameda Botafogo. Brazilian cruising guides have listed it for years as a pegação spot, with men meeting along the wooded paths after dark. By day it is an ordinary city park used by families and walkers. Same-sex relationships are legal in Brazil and marriage has been available since 2013, but sex in public counts as ato obsceno under Brazilian law. Keep things discreet. At night, stay near lit paths where other people are around, carry little, and leave if something feels wrong. No facilities beyond what the park itself offers.
