My family and I planned our trip well in advance. We researched several resort options and ended up choosing Maragogi. We stayed there between June 10th and 14th, 2026.
The room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the garden, two double beds, air conditioning, television, and a minibar stocked with water, soft drinks, beers, and other beverages. The environment was well-organized, clean, airy, and comfortable. We missed having blankets, but after requesting them, they were quickly delivered to the room.
The main restaurant offers a good variety of meats, pastas, salads, desserts, and drinks in general, catering well to guests.
At the Mandacaru Restaurant, we had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, and the service was, without a doubt, the best we found in the entire resort. The service was fast, and the waitress was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful.
At the Basílio Restaurant, unfortunately, our experience was quite negative. Despite the place being practically empty, upon our arrival the waiter placed a breadboard on the table with extreme rudeness, even dropping one of my utensils on the floor due to the impact. We tried to call him several times to place our order and request drinks, but were ignored. After waiting for a long time, we decided to leave and have dinner at the main restaurant. It was, without a doubt, the worst service we experienced during our entire stay.
The resort has bars where guests can help themselves to various drinks. However, those who wish to drink wine must face the same queue as for cocktails to be served by an employee, as the bottles are not in an accessible location. As a suggestion for improvement, it would be interesting to provide a specific area for wine, avoiding queues and long waiting times.
The main bar, located near the pools, offers snack options throughout the day, such as savory pastries, soups, shrimp, fish, and other appetizers. There are several refrigerators with always very cold beers, as well as draft beer taps with two draft beer options, which is a very positive point.
The resort only has a small cafeteria to serve guests throughout the day, but the options offered are quite limited. Therefore, I recommend making the most of breakfast, as there are few alternatives for those who like to have coffee with a snack during the rest of the day.
There is also an ice cream parlor near the pools, with ice cream and popsicles available for guests.
The beach in front of the resort is not among the most beautiful in the region. Maragogi has incredible beaches, but, in my opinion, this is not one of the best. Fortunately, it's easy to get around by car to visit other nearby beaches and attractions.
Activities such as tree climbing, zip-lining, kayaking, and some tours are charged separately.
A very positive point is the large number of activities geared towards children, guaranteeing fun for the whole family. Every night there are different programs, such as circus performances, live music, and other attractions.
During the day it's also common to find animals roaming the resort areas, such as lizards, rabbits, and small monkeys, which makes the experience even more pleasant and special.
Overall, I consider the resort good and with several positive points. However, I expected more given its reputation and the investment made. The main opportunity for improvement lies in the service, which needs to be more consistent across different departments to provide an experience worthy of the facilities offered.
