Woof Bar

Woof Bar is a bear bar on Avenida Vieira de Carvalho, the downtown street running off Praça da República that has been a centre of São Paulo's gay life for decades. The crowd is mostly local bears, chubs, daddies and their admirers. It is a casual, beer-and-conversation sort of place rather than a club, rated 4.3 across about 300 Google reviews. On weekend nights the street fills up and people drift between bars and out onto the pavement. República metro (lines 3 and 4) is a couple of minutes away. The centre gets quiet and less safe late at night, so take an app taxi home rather than walking.
