Valparaíso Pride / Marcha del Orgullo 2026
About This Event

The Valparaíso Pride March — Marcha del Orgullo — is one of Chile's most distinctive Pride events. It happens every November, in a city that doesn't feel like anywhere else: a UNESCO World Heritage port, all hills, funiculars, and incredible street art, with the Pacific Ocean just there.

About 30,000 people show up, making it Chile's second-biggest LGBTQ+ event after Santiago's march. November means spring here, just as the Southern Hemisphere warms up, a nice contrast to Santiago's winter Pride. The cerros (hills) and their painted stairways make for a beautiful procession route.

Diversidad Valparaíso organizes it. This Pride feels smaller, more personal than Santiago's, truly reflecting Valparaíso's bohemian, open character. This city has always brought together artists, sailors, students, and travelers. After the march, you'll find events in the bars and venues around Cerros Alegre and Concepción. It's a good mix: public celebration, but also a real neighborhood party.
