Caribe Afirmativo

Caribe Afirmativo is one of Colombia's leading LGBTQ+ organizations, founded in Cartagena in 2007 to defend the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people across the Caribbean region. Although its headquarters later moved to Barranquilla, the organization maintains a Casa Afirmativa presence in Cartagena, running human-rights advocacy, support for LGBTQ+ migrants and victims of the armed conflict, and public-policy work with the local government. It is a co-participant in Cartagena's annual Pride march.
