Beautifully restored! I recently stopped by the Hotel Boutique Circasiana Palace in Quito just for breakfast, and it was a delightful discovery. This beautifully restored early-20th-century mansion offers a charming glimpse into the city’s heritage without needing to book a full stay. The hotel is housed in an elegant historic building that has been lovingly restored, keeping its original architectural charm while feeling fresh and inviting. The interiors blend classic details with a warm, boutique atmosphere — perfect for a relaxed morning meal. It’s clear a lot of care went into preserving its character. I felt in a surprising iasis on a busy/ noisy avenue Located right on Avenida 10 de Agosto near Alonso de Mercadillo, the hotel sits along a bustling main thoroughfare surrounded by ordinary houses and everyday shops that aren’t particularly scenic. The exterior blends into the busy urban setting, but stepping inside is like entering another world. The contrast is what makes it so interesting. Outside is the noise and everyday hustle of Quito; inside, it transforms into a peaceful urban oasis. You can completely forget the surroundings while enjoying the calm, refined spaces — a true hidden retreat in the middle of the city. The highlight was the cafetería experience. The service was very good — warm, attentive, and efficient. The staff made the visit feel special, with friendly recommendations and quick attention to details. The breakfast itself was enjoyable in a pleasant setting, contributing to a relaxing start to the day. It’s a great spot to linger over coffee and a meal away from the street chaos. Even if you’re not staying overnight, the Circasiana Palace is well worth a visit for breakfast. The beautiful restoration, the fascinating contrast with its busy surroundings, and the strong cafeteria service create a memorable escape. It’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a peaceful, elegant spot in Quito to begin their morning. I’d happily return for another breakfast!

It's a shame I have to give a bad rating because the hotel is so beautiful, but it seems the owner is starving because now he's charging $1 for parking. 🫵🏼

We stayed here twice during our time in Quito and it was lovely. It’s a brand new hotel, with spacious rooms with high ceilings and large comfy beds. Breakfast was included and great. They safely looked after our luggage for a few days while we hiked the Quilotoa loop, which was really kind.
