About the venue
The Scorpio has been running since 1968, which makes it the oldest LGBTQ+ nightclub in Charlotte. It lost its long-time Freedom Drive building to a church purchase and closed there on 31 October 2023. It reopened on 2 August 2024 in the former RSVP complex at 225 Fairwood Avenue in South End…
