Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain

This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever endured. From the moment I arrived, there were ongoing issues with my room. The air conditioning/heating unit was not functioning properly. When maintenance came to fix it, the solution was simply to shut the unit off, which did not resolve the problem. To make matters worse, the window was broken, allowing insects to fly into the room. Cleanliness was also unacceptable. A dead moth remained on the table in my room for three days, despite housekeeping entering the room. Customer service was equally disappointing. I requested extra blankets and a shower cap on two separate occasions and never received them. I even went downstairs to speak directly with a supervisor, who was unempathetic and borderline rude. Rather than addressing my concerns, I was told that I had “the best room” in the hotel. After spending days dealing with these issues, I returned home with a terrible cold. For the price paid and the standards one expects from a hotel, this experience was completely unacceptable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property to others.

A wonderful hotel. The staff a friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The room was spacious and the king bed was a dream to sleep on. Close by to shopping, parks and entertainment.

Love this hotel! Fantastic central location with a view of the mountain. The hotel is very quiet and serene. Beds are very comfy and well-appointed and are spotlessly clean. Breakfast is varied and tasty. Front desk staff are welcoming and helpful. It’s my #1 spot to stay in Montreal

Excellent hotel, very clean and excellent service. Overall I would recommend it. Close to Bell center, the rail station and highway. Loved the fact that there was a nice park across the hotel. My room was a little small, super bright with an awesome view. Hardwood floor was a plus, a good work station/desk with all sorts of connectivity ports and lots of closet space. Cleanest showers compared to most hotels. Lobby had three cafes. Free water and coffee in the main lobby. Good place for business or pleasure.
