New West Pride

New West Pride is the summer street festival of New Westminster, the river city just east of Vancouver. The New West Pride Society closes part of Columbia Street downtown for an afternoon and evening party. There is a main stage in front of the Anvil Centre and a community stage at Sixth and Columbia, plus vendors and food trucks.

The festival is held in mid-August as part of a wider Pride week. The 2025 festival ran on Saturday 16 August from 3 to 10 p.m. It's an easy SkyTrain ride from Vancouver, since New Westminster station is a short walk from Columbia Street.

We couldn't confirm the 2026 date or how that edition went. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
