Booked this motel while I attended a conference at a nearby university. It was truly a find and I looked forward to returning each night. Quiet, spotlessly clean and charming in so many ways. Gives colonial Vermont ...but has modern amenities like wifi and online check in. Would definitely stay there again if I were nearby. Loved it!
I booked Kent Motel for my day trip to Niagara on the Lake. I visited the nearby park, Queenston Heights Park, Laura Second House, 3 wineries, and then 2 wineries in Niagara on the Lake, and then the waterfront all in one afternoon and evening. I was here on the way back home to British Columbia after a 2 week vacation in Netherlands, Belgium, and Morocco. Morocco was my 81st country. The check in is inside the Kent Lounge which took me ten minutes to figure out after doing a couple laps around the building. The rooms are accessed by an electronic code you enter on the doorknob. The room was bigger and cleaner than expected. There was a pantry room next to the lounge open 24/7 but I never used it. I was given a complimentary bottle of wine for being an Expedia member, but the mini bar fridge was full with the model's own supplies which means I had no cool place to store my bottle of wine (or any other food or liquids for that matter). Overall this is the best motel I have ever experienced. I rarely use motels as I had a horrible experience with one in Seattle two years ago. This motel is great value for money too as other accommodations in the area can be very expensive. I will stay here again next time I am in Niagara.
Finding a cool, affordable place to stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake can be a challenge. Many accommodations are overpriced, outdated, or lack charm; until we found the Kent. The location was perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the decor was charming. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and functional. It was everything we were looking for. If they allowed dogs, we’d stay there even more often. But whenever we visit without our pup, the Kent Motel will definitely be our go-to place to stay.
Quaint little motel. Nice and clean. Nothing fancy but great value for the money. A short drive or Uber from everything. Staff is great especially the young lady in the cafe. We had a bottle of wine and charcuterie. The service was great, the food is delicious and very well priced.
