One of the absolute highlights of our stay at Secrets The Vine Cancun was the Chef's Table experience inside Dragons Restaurant. The private setting, limited to only 10 guests, made the evening feel truly special and intimate. As a couple, we were fortunate to enjoy Chef Isidro Arias' incredible 7-course tasting menu, and every single dish exceeded our expectations. The level of skill, creativity, and complexity behind each plate was remarkable. Every course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully crafted, and absolutely delicious. You can immediately see the passion and talent Chef Isidro brings to his work. This was much more than a dinner, it was a culinary experience that we will remember for a long time. We wish Chef Isidro Arias continued success in the years ahead and sincerely hope to see him earn a Michelin Star one day. His talent and dedication certainly deserve that recognition. A special thank you as well to Bruce, our private butler. He was genuinely kind, attentive, and always focused on the smallest details to make our stay perfect. His outstanding service made our vacation even more enjoyable. A great experience from start to finish.

This resort is best suited for mature couples looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The atmosphere is very quiet, calm, and romantic, making it an excellent choice for those seeking rest rather than a lively social scene. If you’re a solo traveler hoping to meet new people or enjoy a more energetic, party-oriented environment, this may not be the ideal fit. However, the resort feels extremely safe, exceptionally clean, and very well organized. Overall, it’s a great destination for couples who value comfort, tranquility, and a more refined vacation experience.

Everything was perfect except the food. They overdo it with the salt in every restaurant.

I couldn't let our vacation end without giving a massive shoutout to Juan. He is by far the best beach server on the property!Despite the heat and how incredibly busy the beach gets, Juan was everywhere at once with a massive smile on his face. He is unbelievably hardworking, courteous, and genuinely cares about making sure you have the perfect day by the ocean. He constantly checked in on us to make sure our drinks were full and kept us laughing with his great sense of humor. Guests often say that "the people make the resort," and Juan is a prime example of that. He provided top-notch service and made us feel so incredibly taken care of. If you are lucky enough to be on the beach and have Juan serving you, you are in for a treat. Thank you, Juan, for making our trip so special!

Pros: view was amazing! Italian restaurant was on point from the service to the food...amazing!! Size of room and balcony are spacious. Cons: At first glance, the hotel is esthetically pleasing. However, if you look a litter further...it's not that clean. Upholstery on all fabric and leather chairs need to be cleaned throughout the hotel. There was hair on the sheets, in the shower, on the balcony and in the water closet either from previous guests or the cleaning ladies. There was a roach in the Asian Fusion restaurant and when we brought it to 2 of the staff members attention, they seem to have an attitude towards us after that. There were also 2 roaches on our balcony. When we moved the chairs around, they were underneath eating food that I assume was dropped by previous guests. Obviously the cleaning staff must clean around the furniture vs moving it to ensure every inch is clean. Some of the staff were nice, some weren't. Specifically one of the cooks behind the grill in the market cafe (I think that's the name) where they made the pasta and omelets...she was rude. The drinks were watered down so you need to ask for shots instead just to get a little buzz. Lastly, I didn't like that they try to bamboozle you into sitting through a presentation to get a discount off a massage. I expected more from a 5-star hotel.

My stay was seriously affected by an incident that I consider incompatible with the privacy and security standards expected of an establishment of this category. At approximately 9:20 p.m., two staff members entered our room using a hotel access key. The room was locked, and no authorization was given for their entry. Although they apparently made prior calls from outside, these were not heard because my mother and I were in another area of ​​the suite. The situation was especially alarming when my mother, who heard the voices, was startled to realize that there were people inside the space we occupied as guests. Regardless of the staff's intentions, I believe that accessing an occupied room without a response or authorization from its occupants constitutes a violation of privacy that should not occur under any ordinary circumstances. Guests must be assured that their room will remain a safe and private space, particularly during nighttime hours. In our case, the incident created unnecessary anxiety and significantly affected our sense of security within the hotel. My mother is also elderly and has a history of high blood pressure and anxiety, so the shock had a particularly negative impact on her health that night. I trust that management will carefully review its protocols for accessing occupied rooms, as no one should be surprised by staff entering their room without prior consent. Unfortunately, this experience marred what should have been a peaceful, private, and respectful stay for guests.

The resort is beautiful. The rooms are very nice, but people are right, there is not a ton of privacy for the bathroom/shower. The balcony view is to die for. The food was amazing. The beach is great but there was a lot of seaweed. The three beautiful pools make up for it. This resort is definitely more of a couples destination. My friend and I were celebrating her divorce and we were amongst few people who weren't a part of a couple. It definitely draws a slightly older crowd and is classy and not a party scene. We would still go back as it was wonderful! No regrets! Huge thank you to the staff who made this stay amazing. Humberto and Aby at the Market Cafe were amazing. Israel at the front door is friendly and helpful and was a warm smile every time we were in or out. Gerardo/Lalito is a phenomenal bartender! Juan by the pool is great! Amazing staff!
