Best resort in Cancun! The staff treat you like royalty. The food and drinks are 5 star! There is something for every taste. The pool is fun and relaxing - with daily activities. I’ve been coming here since 2014 and the new renovations are absolutely beautiful!

I’d like to start the review by stating that we have waited over 14 months since our last stay waiting on the renovations to be completed. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations and was well worth the 14 months. Although my wife and I did not believe the hotel needed any renovations, As we loved the hotel as is. The changes were well received by both of us. The addition of the Italian restaurant is definitely a huge plus. I would also like to emphasize the kindness of all of the workers at the hotel that have been employed throughout the 14 month hiatus that all recognized us. This is a true example of an employer that cares about his employees by ensuring they brought back as many employees as possible. I would like to highlight some of the associates that made our visit extremely joyful. The following list are the associates and the locations they worked at: I would like to make sure they get recognize for their kindness and hard work; José from highlights Ligia from the bar Edwardo Mgr Clemente (Reyes) Erick Miguel bar Felipe bar Wilson Maria Maria Miguel bumgambulia I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that’s thinking twice about where to stay. I would simply state location, location location on top of great food and great accommodations to include all the employees that work there. I also want to make sure I recognize Delfino. My wife and I were outside of Maria Maria and we’re contemplating going in for dinner and considering the long wait that it normally takes for us to get our meal. Delfino, a random employee walked up and engaged us out in front of the restaurant, not knowing that he was the head chef of the entire establishment. He asked us about our dinner plans and after a brief conversation regarding the wait time, we decided to go in and sit down for dinner, knowing it would take some time before we would have our plates served. Soon after sitting down we saw a completely different level of service and attentiveness. Within 20 minutes we had our appetizers and soon after our main course. We obviously were extremely surprised by the quick service only to see Delfino walk up and inquire about the service we received. Not knowing all along that he was the Head Chef of the hotel! Very surprising, and definitely very impactful. Thank you Delfino for a great dinner experience. See you all soon as we will return in August.

They closed down for a whole year for a massive remodel, so naturally, I checked in on Day Two to see if the glow-up was real. The verdict? It’s a beautiful mix of luxury upgrades and a few things I low-key miss. Here is the ultimate ledger of the Pros and Cons: ✨ THE PROS (What hit) The Food & Drink Level-Up: In general, the food and service got a lot more sophisticated. Plus, the included alcohol got a massive upgrade—we are talking really expensive premium bottles. New Italian Restaurant: It features a gorgeous new bar and the food here is genuinely fantastic. Vibe Check: Live musicians are now spread out performing in different cozy spots around the resort instead of just one stage. Pool Luxury: They added two brand-new, massive cabanas by the pool that are completely FREE to use. Foam Parties: Yes, the legendary afternoon foam parties are still blasting! 💔 THE CONS (What missed) The Octopus Tragedy: Maria Maria changed their recipe and my absolute favorite octopus dish is gone. Genuinely devastated. 🐙 Secret Bar Drinks: There’s a cool new hidden bar you have to reserve. The atmosphere and singers are amazing, but the cocktails? Way too sweet and blunt. (Tip: Ask them to make it "skinny"). No More Grand Shows: They cut the big evening stage performances for smaller, acoustic lounge acts. The Balconies: They replaced the classic black rods with glass panels. Personally, I thought the old ones looked prettier! No Hookah: If you loved having a hookah on vacation, they don't have them anymore. Nature's Tax: There was a lot of seaweed in the ocean during our stay, which was the biggest disappointment. 🏝️ The Vacation Routine Despite the changes, the "hard work" of an all-inclusive remains the same: floating in the waves, reading on a lounger, morning yoga, and facing the absolute existential crisis of deciding exactly what time to go get coffee and dessert. ☕🍰 So many chores, such a busy day!
