Mexico City Pride (Marcha del Orgullo LGBT)
About This Event
Mexico City's annual Pride march, one of Latin America's biggest, pulls hundreds of thousands each June. They walk down Paseo de la Reforma, past the Angel of Independence monument, in a city that's always been ahead of the curve for LGBTQ+ rights in Mexico. CDMX legalized same-sex marriage in 2010. That was a full twelve years before Mexico's Supreme Court made all states do it. The march carries that history. Zona Rosa, the city's old gay neighborhood, is packed with parties all Pride week.
